Sophie Bilodeau is a 2025 graduate of the University of Maine, majoring in Theatre and Minoring in creative writing. Sophie was a part of a total of 21 shows at UMaine, nine of which were in the role of Stage Manager, and one was in the role of  Production Manager. 

As a stage operator at The Weston Theatre Company in 2023, she assisted the technical director with load-in and load-out and was a run crew member backstage. During this time at Weston, she was inspired by the work of the stage management and production management teams, which solidified her goals to pursue stage and production management. The following summer, Sophie went on her first tour as a Production Assistant with Circus Smikus. It was here that she was able to put her stage management skills to the test backstage and learn other valuable skills, such as downrigging. At Penobscot Theatre Company, she got the opportunity to stage manage three holiday shows in December 2024. 

Sophie is currently pursuing her MFA in Stage and Production Management at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. She hopes to apply what she learns from past and future experiences in Stage and Production Management into academic research.
